RESOLUTION 2021-013

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF JEROMESVILLE ACCEPTING THE BID AND AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT, CONTINGENT UPON THE RECEIPT AND EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION FOR THE NECESSARY IMPROVEMENTS TO BOYD DRIVE IN JEROMESVILLE, OHIO 

WHEREAS, notice to bidders has been duly given as required by law for the BOYD DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS, for the Village of Jeromesville, as described in the plans and specifications; and 

WHEREAS, two bids were filed with the Director of Budget and Management in response to the published notice that provided the specified construction with the required bid bond accompanying each proposal; and

WHEREAS, the bid from Thompson Asphalt LLC. is the best and lowest bid for the designated public improvement:  

Now, therefore, be it Resolved, be it RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Jeromesville that —

1. That any irregularities associated with the submittal of bids for the Boyd Drive Improvements are hereby waived.

2. That the bid from Thompson Asphalt LLC is hereby accepted for the Base Bid plus Alternate Bid Number 1 and Alternate Bid Number 2 and Alternate Bid Number 3, contingent upon the approval of the OPWC, for the Boyd Drive Improvements as described in the plans and specifications, as previously ordered by the Council, and that the contract for the acquisition is now awarded subject to receipt and execution of a grant agreement with the Ohio Public Works Commission, to said Contractor in the amount of Seventy-seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-seven and 34/100 ($77,997.34) Dollars.

3. The Director of Budget and Management is hereby directed to coordinate the withdrawal of the Permissive Tax to utilize as the Village of Jeromesville’s in-kind contribution.

4. The Mayor and the Director of Budget & Management are hereby authorized to execute the contract with the Contractor for the public improvement as is herein referred to.
