A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF JEROMESVILLE DIRECTING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE SWEEPING OF THE STREETS WITHIN THE CORPORATION LIMITS WITH SWEEPING CORP OF AMERICA AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Village Administrator has received complaints from members of the community that the streets have an excess of debris on the surface; and
WHEREAS, the Village Administrator has determined that the excess debris is causing a safety concern in the daily use of the roadways; and
WHEREAS, the Maintenance Supervisor has determined that we do not have the proper equipment to safely and efficiently clear the streets of all excess debris; and
WHEREAS, § 32.010 of the Jeromesville Municipal Code provides that “the Legislative Authority shall have the management and control of the finances and property of the municipality, except as otherwise provided”:
Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Council of the Village of Jeromesville hereby —
(1) directs the Village Administrator to enter into the contract with terms of $1400 per day of street sweeping with the estimate of two full days needed to complete the entirety of the corporation limits;
(2) directs the Fiscal Officer to pay Sweeping Corp of America one time for the contractual services from the Street Contractual Services line items;
