AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF BUDGET & MANAGEMENT.
Adopted in Regular Session (5-0-1) 20 April 2021
Whereas, § 32.002 (A) of the Jeromesville Municipal Code provides that “The Legislative Authority may provide employees for the municipality as it determines.”; and
Whereas, the Mayor has petitioned the Legislative Authority to establish such a position pursuant to § 31.044 (B)(3); and
Whereas, the Mayor seeks to establish the position of Director of Budget & Management in accordance with and under the same terms as the Fiscal Officer of the Village of Jeromesville.
Now, therefore, be it ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Jeromesville that -
- The position of Enterprise Clerk is hereby abolished.
- The position of Registrar is hereby abolished.
- The position of Director of Budget & Management is hereby established as a full-time position for the Village of Jeromesville.
- The Director of Budget & Management shall serve as the Fiscal Officer of the Village of Jeromesville.
- The Director of Budget & Management shall be appointed in accordance with the method outlined for that of Fiscal Officer.

The Director of Budget & Management, in addition to the duties as outlined in the Jeromesville Municipal Code for Fiscal Officer, shall
- Collect all utility rents.
- Post payments to customer accounts.
- Deposit payments to the Village Bank Accounts.
- Reconcile deposits and payments for customer rents.
- Coordinate new utility service and terminations with the Village Administrator and Maintenance Staff.
- Submit grant proposals and investigate grant opportunities for all municipal departments.
- Provide supervision for the general operation and management of municipal affairs in consultation and under the direction of the Mayor.
- Other assigned duties.
7. The Director of Budget & Management shall be paid two thousand two hundred twenty six dollars and sixty seven cents ($2,026.67) twice per month. Forty percent shall be drawn from the Water Fund, Forty percent shall be drawn from the Wastewater Fund and Ten Percent shall be drawn from the General Fund.
