VILLAGE OF JEROMESVILLE 
ASHLAND COUNTY, OHIO

COUNCIL JOURNAL
7 JANUARY 2020

Mayor Spade called the meeting to order at 6:00PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A quorum was established with the following members present: Mrs. Emily Farrao, Mr. Kevin Sockwell, Mr. Mike Ritter and Mr. James Bonnell. No members were absent. 

Farrao administered the oath of office to Mayor Spade, elected to a term expiring 31 December 2023.

Mayor Spade administered the oath of office to K. Sockwell, elected to term expiring 31 December 2023. 

Mayor Spade appointed Mr. Nicholas Kelley to the vacant council seat created by resignation for the term expiring 31 December 2021. J. Bonnell moved to accept the nomination. Seconded by K. Sockwell. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Nicholas Kelley was appointed to the Village Council. 

Mayor Spade appointed Mr. Rodney Summers to the vacant council seat created by election for the term expiring 31 December 2023. M. Ritter moved to accept the nomination. Seconded by J. Bonnell. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Rodney Summers was appointed to the Village Council.

Mayor Spade administered the oath of office to N. Kelley. 

Ritter moved to adopt the 2020 Tax Budget. Seconded by J. Bonnell. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. The 2020 Tax Budget was adopted. 

Mayor Spade announced that the following business would be transacted on the 21 January 2020 agenda: Election of the 2020 Council President Pro Tempore, Adoption of the 2020 Rules of Council, and Adoption of the 2020 Temporary Appropriations. 

Bonnell moved to adjourn. Seconded by Farrao. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. 

Mayor Spade adjourned the meeting at 6:22PM.
